EXPRESSIONS OF JESUS SUNDAYS

5TH SUNDAY SERVICE DAY

 

Because we love our city we will go out to show love to our city. On the months that have 5 Sundays, that 5th Sunday will be our service days. Service teams will go out in 2 northside areas, Highland Park and Jackson Ward.

We are called to service. It strengthens our faith as we act as Jesus tells us to do for people in need. There are so many people who fall on the side of being less fortunate in these areas. We have to reflect and pray on what we have and share with others. 

​

Our service projects include:  painting inside walls or decks/fences outside, trash pickup, light home repairs, cut grass, clothes give away, and more.  We have teams that start at 10AM and we can have team going at 1PM also depending on how many people sign up for that time.

 

Acts 20:35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
